We believe in offering customers a superior level of client service across the business and this is reflected in our ethos of offering flexible bespoke colocation solutions to our customers which suit their requirements ranging from quarter racks to dedicated cages and data halls.Every client gets 15 minutes of free remote hands per month per rack and we also offer tailored remote hands packages where clients can buy a monthly quota or we can bill them on an adhoc basis in 15 minute increments.

Our engineers can also carry out scheduled engineering tasks such as receiving and racking equipment, these works can be pre scheduled at a set time and date ensuring your projects are delivered on time.

REMOTE HANDS OPTIONS







LDeX Data Centres are manned 24 x 7 which means clients can use the remote hands service whenever they require.

Remote Hands activities include:

Reboot/power cycle of devices
Connecting our KVM to client equipment to get remote access
Checking LEDs on equipment
Checking connectivity issue with the NOC
Network cable patching
Changing out faulty equipment components



If a client is carrying out a maintenance task than needs to be undertaken at a specific time of the day or in the middle of the night this can pre booked with our engineers and we will carry out the task when specified.



The LDeX team can carry out scheduled engineering tasks for clients, this can include racking and stacking of IT equipment. These types of requests fall outside of the usual remote hands activities and need to be scheduled in with the LDeX team.





FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS



What is Remote Hands?


Remote Hands is a service offered by Data Centre providers whereby the Data Centre operations team carries out support and/or maintenance activities for the client and thus the client doesn’t have to be at the Data Centre. Usually the client logs a helpdesk request listing the required task and the DC Technician carries them out.

How is Remote Hands billed?


LDeX Group charges £55.00 per hour for remote hands requests and this is billed in 15 minute increments.

Can you offer any advanced Remote Hands services?


Yes we can give our clients access to our system engineers and our NOC team for any tasks that fall outside of the normal remote hands task list.

Is it possible to speak directly with an engineer?


Yes, when you log a Remote Hands request and have passed our security screening, our engineers will always respond with their contact details so you can call them directly.
